SEARG 1st place in IRTS 80m Counties Contest

IRTS 80m Counties Contest - Summer 2012 Results

We again got a good result from the IRTS 80m Counties Contest (Summer), held on Sunday 17 June 2012. Operating as EI2WRC/P from the Old Copper Mine in Tankardstown (Bunmahon), Co. Waterford (same location as the EI2GEO operations), we racked up 35 QSOs in 18 Counties giving a total score of 2,000 points and first place in the SSB Only (Portable) section.

This follows on from our previous successful entry in the 2012 IRTS 2m Counties Contest (Spring) where we took second place with 1,830 points in the Low Power Portable section when we operated from Devils Bit Mountain in Co. Tipperary.

(Many thanks to Paula McCarthy from the Copper Coast Geopark for providing us with this excellent location).
