EI2EEN back on air!

Our first activation of EI2EEN from the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham, Dublin took place on Saturday 12 October 2013 and continued until just before Christmas.

EI2EEN will again be QRV on Saturday 1 February 2014.

Irish artist Sarah Browne presents her project Remembering Gray, as part of the IMMA Collection exhibition One Foot in the Real World at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, from 12 October to 31 April 2013. This project responds to the life and work of Eileen Gray and is presented alongside a major retrospective exhibition of Gray’s work touring from the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Eileen Gray was an Irish-born furniture designer and architect and a pioneer of the modern architecture movement. Her best-known work is her villa in the south of France with the coded name of E1027.

Sarah Browne commissioned poet Alice Lyons to create a new work, titled something permanent and invited the South Eastern Amateur Radio Group to participate in the project. The poem will be transmitted in CW by the South Eastern Amateur Group on Saturdays for the duration of the event from a station within the exhibition with the call sign EI2EEN.
